RMMHA to Purchase Needed Supplies & Equipment Thanks to $13,500 OTF Grant

 

Richmond, Ontario – The Richmond Munster Minor Hockey Association is pleased to announce that thanks to a $13,500 grant from the Ontario

Trillium Foundation (OTF), the RMMHA will be able to purchase much needed goalie equipment and necessary safety supplies such as first aid kits.

 

Gary Gray, President of the RMMHA welcomed the grant.  “This grant is an investment in our community as well the association’s program development.” said Mr. Gray.

 

The Richmond Munster Minor Hockey Association (RMMHA) is a volunteer run association that coordinates and manages the activities of approximately 400 minor hockey players, ranging from ages 4 up, in the villages of Richmond and Munster and surrounding areas - located 20 km southwest of Ottawa.  Approximately 60 of these players are in various affiliated Competitive Leagues, 270 are in House League, and 60 are in Hockey Development. The RMMHA is part of the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA) and has a unique role in the hockey world.

 

“We will use this grant to purchase new goalie equipment, augment supplies of our safety kits, and provide a computer for the RMMHA to assist in  the coordination of our hockey programs,” said the RMMHA President.

 

“We are thankful for the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s commitment to public funding of important initiatives in our community.   We would also like to acknowledge the hard work of Kala and Tim Johnson in working together with the OTF to generate this great opportunity.”

 

The Ontario Trillium Foundation is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

The Foundation allocates grants to eligible charitable and not-for-profit

organizations in the arts and culture, environment, human and social

services and sports and recreation sectors.
