Richmond Munster Minor Hockey Association

Communication Director’s Report

2008/2009

As the RMMHA Communication Director, my focus continued on two goals this season:

1. Ensuring that all parents and players received up-to-date information before and during the hockey season. This included the use of mass electronic email campaigns, newsletters and of course the RMMHA web site.  It is important that members know and trust the RMMHA web site as an up-to-date and a reliable source of RMMHA information.

2.  Promote the Association through highlighting great stories on the website, posting, the occasional story in local newspapers, and participate in local community events.

2008/09 Communication Highlights:

Ø      Increased usage of web site this year

Ø      Participation in fall Richmond Fair parade ….a great way to promote our new jersey’s and show our RMMHA pride

Ø      Newsletters and alerts send out to members reaching approximately 200 members per campaign

Ø      Many RMMHA success stories posted - Thank you to those who contributed stories, pictures and input

Ø      Successful RMMHA picture day

While it was intended to bring in a new web site this year, plans are underway to look at a new website for the 2009-10 season that will make it easier to find information, navigate, and update. Your comments on the web site are encouraged and welcomed.

Please ensure you sign up to the website email alerts to be kept up-to-date on RMMHA news and alerts during the off season (early ice, evaluations, conditioning, etc.)
